You're right, the iliac artery is located in the lower abdomen near the pelvis. I was just thinking that if there is no longer any stenosis (narrowing) in that artery to impede flow, then you probably have a good pulse all the way down, clear down to your ankle now. Isn't this what alarmed your doctor, no good pulse in the groin or in the ankle?

they were both absent. They did recheck today but had to use the US to hear them.

Well before I could log out my GC came in (she'd been out with friends) and told me there was big possum on the back porch. Sure enough there was.
