I think it has to do with things swelling up and bruising being at its worst, Granny. But things should start feeling bettr after that.

Well 3 of the 4 heads of broccoli went to flower on me, Linus and the 3 young girls enjoyed them yesterday.

This is the 4 head, weighed in at 2 lbs and 14 ounces, bigger around than an ice cream bucket

My tiger lilies, Got the seed from my aunt years ago who got her seed from my grandmother. They really took off this year (finally)

no cabbage butterfly's this year or flea Beatles. Also, Sevin dust or spray works well. Haven't needed it yet. Left the plants as they usually form small heads off the main stalk.
