I have these almost all around my house. They're descended from a single clump I dug up from the pasture next to our house about ten years ago.

Sorry for not checking in sooner. Last night I tried to get a fight broke up between two of our cattle dogs and managed to get my....ummm....hooter chomped down on then they had the audacity to knock me flat on my face. Steri stripped the laceration back together, slapped a bandage on it and headed to bed early.

@Granny Hatchet. Listen to Iris and me too if you want to and get this checked out. A knot, warm to the touch, red and tender to painful can be a blood clot. Trust me, if it is you don't want to mess with it.

Call the surgeon. Talk to his nurse or go to the ER. Just please don't procrastinate it. Better to know than not. Okay?

I've always known them as Surprise Lilies. Mine are blooming right now also. I've only had them out for like 2 years but the two bulbs I bought have produced 4 stalks this year.

Yes, right now! In a circle all around my house. They are part of my "Ring of Fire."

Bought where, MC? And do you remember what you paid for them? I may be sitting on a gold mine!
