Granny's gone and done it again

Good morning.
We've been talking about collars/harnesses. Here's Coopers. Pulls mostly on back.
Off to vet hoping for some help with a few things. :)
Lacy goes in next Monday for second round of shots. I used to give them but no more.

Morning, all. I slept like a baby after that banana bread! And I DON'T mean I woke up every two hours crying so don't ask, lol! Family must like it, it's almost gone, lol.

@Cynthia12 hope vet has good news for poor old Cooper, nothing serious and easily fixed. They are so cute together. ❤️

I seem to have lost my housekeeper. She fell and injured. ... her KNEE! They also travel a lot. I'd been doing pretty well but ... the last couple days both my knees have been feeling a little .. well. Feeble.. I almost fell taking care of chickens yesterday. Did I get ahead of myself and do too much? Walking around the house? Not sure. Taking it easy though. Back to two canes.

Morning all. Hope everyone had a good weekend. It was nice here. Warm temps, mostly sunny. Wish I could can the late summer weather and open it up in the middle of January when it's 10 below zero and the wind chill feels like -40.

@BigBlueHen53, girl, don't fall! Just remember. When body hits ground, ground always wins.

We did get out Saturday and Sunday and harvested the last of the tree that mother nature gifted us. Spent some time today splitting it. My Bursitis has improved about 80%. Still feel the pain at times and not too enthusiastic about resuming PT on Thursday. I asked my husband how many exercise reps I would be able to do before my shoulder yelled enough and the bursitis is back 100%. He said not even one session. Unfortunately I agree. So we shall see.

My little hen with the lame left leg isn't getting any better. In fact the right leg is now acting wonky on her. If she was a young bird I would be suspecting Marek's but she is at least 4 or 5 years old so not that. I suspect she got hurt while either competing with larger hens for treats or by the mating attentions of one of the roosters. DH asked me what I was going to do and I told him I didn't know. I don't have the heart to put her down. She's eating and drinking it's just that her legs are all crazy when she tried wo walk and they kind of flail around. Right now I have her in my hospital pen in the feed room by herself. I'm giving her vitamin B12 and lots of protein. It's just so sad as she is one of my pet favorites and always talks to me when she sees me, even now. I guess time will tell.

Oh I don't plan on it! I'm pretty much down for the day now, in my recliner with a brace on my left. Having Elijah make me a grilled cheese sandwich, not even doing that for myself. Was up cleaning in the kitchen a bit earlier and realized, This is a bad plan. This is my day to do DH laundry, I've sorted it but going to have the kids do it. In all honesty I'm a bit discouraged. What if I don't get better? 😢

I haven't had PT for over a week now. Saw my surgeons NP last Tuesday and told him I was having increased pain that seemed to be getting worse after weight strengthening PT. Checked my shoulder and said I had Bursitis in it. Since I can't take oral NSAIDS he offered to inject it for me and I whole heartedly agreed. He told me no repetitious movements with it and no PT for a week.

I've been expecting this to happen at some point in time. In all honesty I was surprise it hadn't already happened as I have had rheumatic arthralgia since I had rheumatic fever when I was in my early 20s and it doesn't take much to set it off.

And once set off it's pretty intense.

I'm going to start doing some easy stretches and see how it feels but I'm really worried that once I get back into the weight strengthening it's going to flare up again.
