That was 8 years ago, so he's 9 now.

Hi guys. Social night at the church, 2nd Sabbath of the month. Vespers st 5:30 followed by a light meal, then games. I made a cake yesterday, from SCRATCH I did! Overcooked about 3 minutes so it was a bit, um ... firm, shall we say? But I also blanched and peeled 10 big, gorgeous sweet peaches, chopped them and covered them with a simple syrup and let them set in the fridge overnight. Served the two together, told everyone to put the peaches over the cake. Peaches and cake all disappeared, amid a cloud of compliments! They really were good peaches.

Peaches on yellow cake is one of my favorite deserts even though I haven't made it in years. I like to make pound cake and put fruit on it, peaches, strawberries, blueberries are all good.

I used to buy white cake from the Amish. it had chocolate chips in it and I can not figure out how they do that. Every time I have tried they would sink to the bottom of the pan and this one was spaced out perfectly!

I wonder if they coat them in flour before adding them to the batter. You have to do blueberries that way. @Rambling Iris do you know?
