That is one half pound of butter (2 sticks or 1 cup) very soft. Plain all purpose flour. I cream the butter and sugar with the mixer and mix the other ingredients in with the electric mixer. There is no salt or baking powder in this recipe. This recipe was given to me by my mothers sister in 1964 it was given to her by a friend from church. I think it was a family recipe.

I never heard of baking w/ all purpose and no baking powder-soda! I never have all purpose flour. Im gonna put it on the list. Thanks!

DH says all the chicks made it into the Big House on their own tonight. But they are roosting all over the place, and again, he didn't count them. Roosting in the rafters, on electric wires, on wall joists, etc. (Joists? Is that the right term? Top plates maybe?) One tried to roost on top of a hen the other night. That did not last long, lol.

My feet are killing me. Half of my lower leg and my feet on both sides the same needles and feeling like they are on fire. The only thing that helps is standing up
