I had DH get me a dozen or so of those big Moonlight peaches Sunday. Gonna make me some peach jam this week. Like maybe tomorrow if they're soft and sweet.

Well, got all the ditches mowed for the year, County requires it be done before OCT 15. If not either they will do the mowing and add the bill for doing so to your property taxes OR someone else can do it and the county will pay them and then add that bill to your property taxes.

Also with Mike's help caught all the chicks from this spring and clipped ONE wing and released them into gen pop.

DH and I usually do them at night. We didn't do this batch though. They got integrated with the flock at just a few days old so there was no need.

I ordered 65 and then hatchery sent a few extra. I did count the light brahma's and have 14 hens and a roo. Ordered 15 So lost at least one. and 50 New Hampshire's plus the couple extra , Dispatched a roo today that had a broken or very MESSED up leg and there is 1 more roo for sure , LOST count of the pullets.

Dead roo went in the freezer to live trap bait.
