Granny's gone and done it again

Both kids got their Christmas presents today since they are on sale. Melissa ordered a gaming chair. I approve, she has back problems and she shouldn't lie in bed watching videos or playing games (after her chores are done!) but she does not have a comfy chair, just a hard metal folding one. She got a $215 one on sale for $100 today.

And Lij got an $800 compound bow with arrows and extras for $600. Again, I approve, he needs to get out of the house when his assignments and chores are done. He took lessons a couple years ago and he's pretty good. He paid for most of it himself, we just contributed $100, the same as we paid for his sister's chair.

Merry Christmas, kiddos!

The depression just seems like its so much worse then
I know. You really miss him then, don't you? You don't have him there to "do" for. The house seems really empty. I remember. :hugs
You need some new routines. Plan simething the night before so you'll have something to look forward to. Read the paper. Watch the news. Put on some music. Something nice to make your morning pleasant.

Thank you Blue. Its getting harder every day. Your right too, I don't have a reason OR purpose .

I probably haven't been dressed , maybe 3xs since he passed. I rarely brush my hair except When it has a lot of tangles.
:hugsIt's easy to get in a downward spiral, Granny. But it's not good for you. You need to grab yourself by the scruff of the neck, give yourself a good shake, and tell yourself to snap the hell out of it. Get up. Brush your teeth. Take a shower. Brush your hair, get dressed. Fix yourself some breakfast. Act like a normal human being for a few minutes at least. Then, if you need to cry, cry. What would Tom want you to do? I'm sure he would not want you to wallow in misery. Stop it. Go out on the front porch and see what kind of day it is. Take a deep breath. Take another one.

Then tomorrow, do it again. You don't have to feel like it. Just do it. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and after a while you'll start to feel better.

Trust me. I know. ❤️

That sounds like really nice gifts. I bet they are happy. Robert has asked for a cane. It is ada approved as a walking cane but that's where it ends. The wood it is made from is supposed to be the hardest They make and its used for protection.
