I can't believe this. I felt dumb taking green leg bands off TWO of my BA pullets but now I've found ANOTHER one! That makes THREE I marked as Ameraucana cockerels! Good grief!

My excuse is, they were young, it was dark and they were all milling around! Lol. It's obvious NOW who my cockerels are, and I can certainly tell the BA from the Ams now that their combs have matured ... but it wasn'tt that easy a couple of months ago, honest!

Oh no, I wouldn't. Not the Ameraucanas. I have two now. Going to hang on to both for a while until I decide which one will be my breeder. If I'd had five I would have kept them all until I was sure, and then maybe kept at least one spare, as long as they got along okay. Maybe sold a couple extras but too expensive for freezer camp!
