Not your fault Im too nosey. Afraid I might miss something. LOL When I was with Roberts bio-dad I would wrap my fingers in his hair when we slept. I would wake up with him trying to turn then he would holler ouch because I was pulling his hair. lol

Hi everyone. Checking in. Been kicking back and resting, taking it easy. It's been a rough year between DH's 2 surgeries and my one so I'm trying to relax and enjoy the Christmas season.

Today is the 20th anniversary of DH and my first date. We agreed to meet at a little coffee shop in Galesburg IL and spent the morning sharing a huge bran muffin and cups of coffee while we talked. So today, I was up bright and early and baked bran muffins for our anniversary. We set laughing and reminiscing. Sometimes it seems like we met yesterday and other times like we have been together our whole lives. Best 20 years of my life.

I'm not sending out Christmas cards this year. Part of the de-stressing strategy. I'm doing it this way this year for family and friends.

To all my dear friends here at Granny's Place, heart felt wishes from our tribe to yours for the most blessed and peaceful Christmas and happy (not to mention healthy) 2026. Love to all!

Hi Shrek. Oh hey I am tickled today. Remember this past summer I set my dogs up with some hot-wired eggs on a plate? Well today my GC had a fresh egg in her hand and without thinking she stretched out her hand to show her dog, Ryder, what she had, and he got a real serious look on his face snd turned around and headed for the house. I said Let me see that and I did the same to Jenny, sort of. I set it down on the ground in front of her (bc she used to break snd roll in them) and she made a bee line for the back porch and stood there looking at me, ready to duck in the house if necessary. I am satisfied now our eggs are safe from the dogs.

I think I must’ve missed that part LOL sometimes I skip around. But that’s good they learned!!!!!!

I made a pre- Christmas dinner- chicken and stuffing and mashed sweet potatoes. Then Christmas I will make sirloin tips with stuffing. DH request. The neighbor lady gave us a pumpkin pie so had a good pre-Christmas dinner!
The EMS Elves gave us some food today. We will have a good Christmas feast.
It makes you feel humble to be on the receiving side of gifts. Many wonderful people out there.

That's wonderful! You know, sometimes you get to be the giver, and that's a lot of fun. But sometimes the tables turn and you're the receiver, and it's your turn to let someone else enjoy the blessings of giving. But rest assured, someday the tables will turn again and you'll be the giver again someday. It all belongs to the Lord anyway!
