I stopped at the top of the road to get the mail and Toms nurse was driving past. She stopped and asked me how he was doing. I told her and she was stopping traffic so she said she would call. I didn't answer. Mail from hospice wanting a survey. Unbelievable.

I loved, loved, my Grandmother's well water. Haven't tasted it or have I seen a place with well water since the 60's.

Where did she live?

We're on a well. Was on one in NM, too. Took me a while to get used to the taste of this one, it has more iron. Have filters on it now and a water softener. It's pretty good, just what you get used to I guess. Cannot abide city water, ugh that chlorine! Lol

Did I tell y'all I made yogurt today? Had not made it in over a year, almost forgot my technique. Had to do a search in my email to find it, I had sent someone the recipe once. Wrote it down now. Little fridge empty of eggs so I have room for yogurt. Had GC actually buy me a dozen today so I can bake bread, recipe calls for 4, and also cookies! So sad, this time of year. 28 femme fatales out in the henhouse and what do I get? Three eggs. Sigh.

My Gm well water was so full of sulfur it was gross. It was even the color of rust. She never got sick til she moved away. I didn't drink water for a solid year.

It was the nurse that came before he went in the hospital then that was a different company

oh, then Mom and I moved up in a holler and that was a community well, bucket rope and all. lol That was ok I guess. Sure made taking a bath hard in the wash tub. I started going to the river.Take my soap and shampoo w/ me.

DH's mom said she grew up in a holler so far back in the sticks they used to have to haul sunshine in, in a bucket. That old gal tickled me. I miss her.
