Granny's gone and done it again

But it was during high-traffic time, right?
I thought that too but it's off and on throughout the year. We've had packages take two weeks or more to reach us using USPS. It's pathetic. We used to be able to send cards to friends in IL and it take 72 hours now I've seen it take 7 days and that's birthday cards throughout the year.

Just got Pi Back from her first vet visit. Poor baby started screaming the moment we got in the car. It was like, but I liked it there. The hoomans love me and there are other dogs to play with and toys and great food and they gave me my own BED! I'm sure she saw another deserted dirt road in her future. Just howled and cried her little heart out until we got on the interstate and then it was like, oh, okay, this feels different. She curled up and went to sleep in my arms. Slept all the way there and all the way back.

So she checked out fine. Some round worms but she's 8 weeks old and otherwise healthy. General consensus is she's border collie but her head shape says there is maybe a little Rottweiler thrown in to the mix. They listed her as border collie though but that would definitely explain the cocky/fearless attitude she has.

Awwwww sweet thing

A bit of a shocker this morning.
I was woke up this morning by a phone call from my brother.
My mom was found deceased on the floor of her apartment this morning.
She seemed healthy enough and did most things for herself, being 82 years old.
She was living with my brother, his family were caring for and helping her with anything she couldn’t do by herself.
At least she didn't linger in a vegetative state.i dread that sort of thing. Sorry for your loss. It's hard losing a parent.

I don't care how kind of a relationship a person has with their mothers, how old they are or what their health is when they pass. It's always a hit to the heart when you lose them.:hit
Yeah for sure

Yes, I feel like an orphan. No parents, aunts, or uncles left.

Same here Cap. One adopted brother that I haven't seen since 2008. No aunts or uncles. Some first second and third cousins but once again, haven't seen them for years. No close family at all.
