I agree with Granny. Fresh every day. Make sure and do the follow up treatment to get any remaining eggs. If you give the two with poopy butts boluses that should fix them up with the followup in their water. I think some breeds are just more prone to Coccidia.

I've only treated for it once before, when I had some youngsters and we had a lengthy period of unrelenting rain. Yes, I will give them a week off and then treat again. Thanks to the wonderful hive mind of BYC!!! The knowledge, wisdom and experience available here is unsurpassed!

DIrect dose all? Sorry, I know we have to treat them all in their waterers. My question was not clear, I'm asking about syringe-dosing. Do I need to do this with all of them, or just the two poopy butts?


Well... but the water is outside and the birds are locked in the coop. They won't have access to any water [OVERNIGHT] until I make a fresh batch in the morning either way.

edit to add a clarifying word. Sorry, I'm tired...

I like to be sure each one gets a dose asap. Some don't like to drink it. Sometimes I add OJ as well as sugar.

If anybody ever breaks in, forget the pistol in the night stand, just bash 'em with that lamp. They ain't gettin' up no more. The cops will really be impressed but sadly you'll lose it to the evidence locker. Where everybody in the district will come take pictures of it and it may even end up in a Hollywood movie ...!

All of which is my convoluted way of saying how danged impressive that thing is!
