When I fell at harbor freight peeps looked at me laying there but never said boo squat to me. No offers of help, nadaWhen we were at my ortho dr today, an older woman, leaving the building alone, fell as she walked out the door. My DH saw her as he came in (he'd been parking the car) and ran in and alerted the desk that she needed help. Several people ran out to assist. She was on her hands and knees. A wheelchair was brought out and with effort she was lifted and placed in it. She looked very ill and almost unresponsive. I was worried she'd had a stroke. After several minutes she looked better, sat up, and was talking. My first thought was, why didn't my DH pick her up? But later I realized she needed a lot more help than one person could provide. I think he realized she was going unresponsive. I'm glad he came in and got help for her.
Not a single Good Samaritan? Only Priests and Levites. How sad. How did you get up?When I fell at harbor freight peeps looked at me laying there but never said boo squat to me. No offers of help, nada

Special lace in Hell for people that don’t treat animals right, Amish included. That's my kind of winter, Iris. It got up to about 44 here today. Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer but then winter is back. I think I saw a high of 18 on Sunday which is more January like...too much for my liking.
I think I figured out Pi's lineage. Started doing searches for border collie puppies with various breeds of dogs that I know are around us and when I hit Border Collie/Shiba Inu, I had to gasp. There is an Amish family about 2 miles from us up on the blacktop that leads to town that has a black border collie named Lady and a Sheba Inu male named Snoopy. I found pictures of puppies that look just like Pi and when I listened to what the Shiba Inu scream sounds like it was exactly how she sounded when she was out front in the road crying her little heart out.
Now why would they leave her here? They owned the local feed store and when I went to buy my chicken food, I always took a pocket full of cookies for the dogs. I bet real money that is where she came from. They got rid of her or somebody got rid of her for them. They sold the feed store over a year ago and I told DH that they knew how much I enjoyed their dogs when I was there.
Amish have different ways. I can almost hear them say how bout taking her over to Ervins old place, you know, the cabinet shop where that lady and her husband live. they love dogs there......geesh. They could have knocked on the door or called us and asked us if we wanted her. If that is where she came from at least I know she is a very sweet, good dog from good stock.
My chemo sunburned husband has been fighting with the toilet all afternoon. It decided to die a dramatic death. Blew the seal out between the tank and the toilet. Got new innards for it today while he was out but now can't get the water line hooked back in.
An outhouse is starting to sound pretty good right now.
