Well, Austin shared something tonight when we were discussing his illness and how he was told.
It was a nurse that called to give him results. She started reading them. Gave the name, then said wait a minute I need to look it up. She stared reading it to him, said the name then read that it was a rare canc...she stopped and said..well, the Dr. wants to see you Monday.
So it isn't a precursor. He knew. He didn't want me to worry but since we're able to talk he let me know. I'm pretty sure I know which cancer it is now. He told me it started with a p.

Sorry about last night, guys. I was sleepy all day and could not stay awake last night. Thought I would take a little nap, fell dead asleep. Woke up about 10:30 and gave it up as a bad job, lol, slept though till morning. Hope to do better tonight!

I'm like that most days. Wont nap, afraid I might miss something!

Thing is, the only symptom I've seen is the tiredness.

at least not Dr proscribed ones. Just the occasional over the counter type.

A myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN), a type of blood cancer.
Caused by a genetic mutation (usually in the JAK2 gene) that tells the bone marrow to overproduce red blood cells.
Thickened blood can't deliver oxygen efficiently and clots easily. ....

Yes. He'll go through a lot of blood draws the rest of his life to keep record of his red blood cells. They'll have to find the right medication for him. His bone marrow is putting too much iron/red cells out. Needs to be slowed down. Now again..that's if it's what im thinking. Told you guys that I didn't need to know because I would be looking it up.
I think Austin is staying off the net.
