Granny's gone and done it again

Also I'm not sure why, but when I get sick now my jaws ache bad until I'm better
That's a new one. Never heard of that. I get arthritis pain in my jaw and feel bone on bone but hey, I can still chew and eat so I'm good, lol.

Have you told your dentist or doctor about the pain?

Well that was weird. I just a video visit w/ a NP on my computer of all places. Meds are at my pharmacy. At least they are supposed to be. No delivery now til Monday. She said because I had pneumonia and flu its expected for me to be this weak and tired and the flu is a bad one this year I guess. I've never had it before now.

Do you have somebody who could pick them up for you, Granny?

Is it Polycythemia vera?

A myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN), a type of blood cancer.
Caused by a genetic mutation (usually in the JAK2 gene) that tells the bone marrow to overproduce red blood cells.
Thickened blood can't deliver oxygen efficiently and clots easily. ....

BUT! ~

    • With proper care, most people live a long life.
Up to 20 years with proper care. Only months if not treated. Glad they caught it in time.

I see my neuro on zoom when I need to. He's cities away now. Used to come to this office more nearby where I get my Lidocaine shots. He also calls in prescriptions from there.
Micro asked, someone to pick up for you?

Actually, I would rather have strep..it's treatable. 😁
I was treated both times with long courses of Penicillin. After the second strep throat I wound up in the hospital for a month and was diagnosed with rheumatic fever. Wound up in bed for 6 months. It was a life changer for me. 2 years later I was put on cardiac meds. All my plans to go back to school and advance my education came to a screeching halt. I was 23 years old.

Treatable? Yes.....and no. Rheumatic or Scarlet fever and kidney/cardiac damage can result from Strep throat if you are susceptible. Trouble is you don't know if you are susceptible until.................
