Granny's gone and done it again

I've been gone all day! Drove an hour to see the pulmonologist for lung function tests and a chest xray. The tests were a little better than last year, but I still have to stay on the oxygen. She said I was doing everything she recommends so I will continue to exercise ( it's called doing chicken chores, but she doesn't need to know that) and do deep breathing exercises. Go back in 6 months. I'm tired!

It was a long tiring day. Nancy made biscuits, gravy and farm fresh eggs. The eggs were good but over easy the white around the yolk was raw and that's gross. I cant eat that. The gravy was made from one of those powdered packages. She used water to make it and it was full of pepper . Burned my mouth so I ended up w/ a buttered biscuit. Not sure why she thought it needed to get nuked for a solid min so I guess I should say her heart was in a good place. Gonna go make me a bologna sandwich. Would you believe the bologna was close to $8.00? BB

Twist is just being a big silly, as per usual. It's an excuse to buy himself a candy bar and sound like he's being generous to somebody else! You have a sweet heart, Cynthia!

Asked my little Chinese gal today if she had a favorite candy bar. Then I adk, do you even like American candy bars? She makes a faces and shakes her head no. First she says, jelly beans, then she corrects herself and says..Jolly Ranchers! Big smile. I'm buying a bag of Jolly Ranchers next time I go in. Twist got me going here.

That is so neat! We usually do self checkout so I will have to figure out a way to do something like this. Pondering, pondering. The gals on hand to assist do not look like they should have candy unless it's sugarless.

I buy bologna often. I buy the packaged. Cheaper. I like the thin slices..chicken not beef.

Mmmmmm Fried bologna sandwiches. With mayo. Now you guys done went and did it. I gotta get some bologna and make fried bologna sandwiches for lunch.

I hate self check out. Used it the other day and wanted to take a baseball bat to it. I just enjoy talking to the checkers. I can usually strike up a conversation with them and try to get them laughing. Told one the other day that I used to have the most totally miserable, and difficult job going. I used to be a nurse in a nursing home. But even with that there was no way I would ever want to work their jobs. The young man looked at me with wide eyes and said, Oh, Ma'am, I would NEVER want your job. My jobs nothing compared to what you used to do.

Idunno. I've seen more than one checker reduced to tears because of some horrible person yelling at them for something that wasn't even their fault. I think any time I can make one of them smile, it's been a good day.

They keep changing our weather. Started out at bitter cold and 1 inch of snow. Now it's at 2-6 inches of snow and still bitterly cold. Can you believe these people go to college, get degrees and paid good wages to basically not know what the heck they are doing and usually lie to the public 50% of the time?

I think you get better results with the old fashioned 'weather rock'.
