Guess I slept half the day away. We are under a winter storm warning til Monday. Sounds scary. We could be stuck here for a long time. I remember once before being stuck here for a week til our roads were cleared and we were out of food. Someone, not remembering who, brought grocery's to the top of the road and I walked up there to get them. Our driveway was impassable for a while. We were also stuck in the house once for a few days. I don't think it was the same storm. I just plain and simple couldn't open the doors . Finally ended up kicking it open only to find out the van was frozen shut as well. lol Good times.

Missed breakfast and lunch. Guess I will go hunt some dinner.

We are all squared away. Melissa had to go to town anyway so am having her pick up a few long-term items in case we can't get out for a while. She says WM is nuts. But we are fine if we get socked in. Plenty of wood, full propane tank, lots of food and chicken feed.

This is why I very seldom wear anything heavier than a flannel shirt. Sometimes do chores in shorts and a t-shirt.

It's sunny but windy and cold here. They are predicting anywhere from 6-15" of snow here. I've got my snow gear buy the door, ready to go.
Took DH for his chest X-ray and Dexa scan. Received the box to go for the lab work. They sequenced the cancer when it was active. Now every 3 months they check the blood for DNA from the cancer to make sure it stays in remission.
Cancer sheds into the blood so if it's in remission the test won't detect it. They can find the cancer at an earlier stage with DNA then with an MRI

I'm getting 3 a day from 7 chickens. No pullets. They don't get any artificial lighting or heat. We have 24° here to. Thankful their water has only been freezing overnight

My chicken house is partly underground but still has a window that gets the afternoon sun. It's pretty warm today! Everything else feels arctic with a gusty wind blowing
