Guess I slept half the day away. We are under a winter storm warning til Monday. Sounds scary. We could be stuck here for a long time. I remember once before being stuck here for a week til our roads were cleared and we were out of food. Someone, not remembering who, brought grocery's to the top of the road and I walked up there to get them. Our driveway was impassable for a while. We were also stuck in the house once for a few days. I don't think it was the same storm. I just plain and simple couldn't open the doors . Finally ended up kicking it open only to find out the van was frozen shut as well. lol Good times.

I have poured warm water on the car door, then open it.

We got new phones, and hubby spent hours on the phone because long distance calling and calls to Canada were not working.
We went to our log cabin today, and I mopped floor in the great room. The guys finished the new tiles in the master bathroom! It looks great!
When we are not at the log cabin to feed the wood stove, the heat comes from a propane heater in the living room. Last we knew, the big propane heater had 20% of the capacity remaining. Hubby called to company to get more propane delivered. They said they have a long list, it could be next week some time! We were worried that the power would go off, and the propane would run out. If it ran out, the temperature would drop in the house and pipes might freeze. Unless one of us stayed there and fed the stove. No bed, no food, and when the storm takes hold...who knows when power could come back on? Luckily, the propane guy came and filled the big tank!

same here. 8-14" here now but Ice is supposed to come too and that means possible/probable electric loss and that's a whole new ball game. Temps, 10 feels like 7.
