Granny's gone and done it again

We had a generator when we lived in Florida. in 2004 We had 4 hurricanes come directly over our house. Charlie 8/9 to 15,Followed by Francis, Ivan and Jeanne all within 6 weeks. We were without power 5 weeks, roads were impassible in most places. Our generator kept our refrigerator, freezer and a fan running. We shared our generator with the closest neighbor to keep their refrigerator going also. It was a very hard time for a lot of people.
I pray that all of you in the path of this storm are safe and warn.
Thank you, Iris. God was gracious. Only 5 inches of show here. Light and fluffy, very pretty. The cold is kind of a bummer. It's 6 degrees here at the moment and no relief in sight till a week from now.. My birds are handling lit well. I just came in from breaking open the water holders and DH is out with the tractor plowing the drive and my path to the coop.

Meanwhile the puppy is having the time of her life. Pee and poo? In all this white fluffy stuff? Nah...I'd rather run and play in it. Sure will be glad when it melts and the temp comes back up so we can get back to the serious challenge of house breaking.

No plans for the day. The sun is out. Gonna kick back and see how long it takes for the township maintenance to clear the road. Think I'll make some bread and have French toast and eggs for dinner tonight along with some home made applesauce! Winter comfort foods are definitely on the menu.
