Morning everyone! It's already above freezing here this morning. 36 degrees. I think it's the first day we have had above freezing by this much this year so far. Yay!

@twisted-acres-farm Those pups are beautiful! Such vibrant colors. They are going to be gorgeous as they mature.

Speaking of pups. DH took this picture of Peg Leg Pi this morning

She isn't letting his slow her down any. We have discovered that it is impossible to keep a 3 month old pup quiet and not running. Especially when they have figured out how to get around with a stiff leg. But she is doing well and hopefully healing well in spite of herself. This morning she knocked down her security gate and came into the bedroom to sleep with Buck and Spot. Guess it's time for freedom. Oh well, we are well stocked with piddle pads and hope to be able to get her outside with a leash next week.

MC, Pi is such a cutie! She is a smart little thing. It's already 42 degrees here, supposed to get into the 50's later. By tomorrow afternoon in the mid-60's. I'm looking forward to warmer weather, just not the 90's! I've got to go do a few chores. BBL

The thing about sleep apnea is that it goes hand in hand with a multitude of health problems including A-Fib and heart failure, Heart attack, COPD, Arrhythmias in general along with Generalized mortality.

There are other treatment options available besides C-PAP machines. I have to say that DH does fantastic with his. His number of events when they did his first sleep study was very high. His second study where they tried him on a C-PAP eliminated them by like 95%. His cardiologist told him that without control of the apnea, control of his A-Fib would be a lot harder. Good motivation.

Personally, I wouldn't count on mouth tape. What happens if your nose plugs up due to sinus problems, colds or allergies? I'd suffocate as my sinuses are always partially blocked. The CPAP head unit that he uses forces him to breathe through his nose. I tease him that when he opens his mouth it sounds like I'm sleeping in a wind tunnel but other than that all we ever hear is a soft hum from the motor in the machine itself.

Pa and I both use C-Pap machines. It took me a few days to be able to wear the mask because I'm a little claustrophobic. I hate having anything on my face or across my nose! I had a hard time wearing a mask during Covid, feel like I can't breath. I attach my O2 to the C-pap at night.
Good news! We finally have an appointment for Pa to see the neurologist. It's Feb. 26 so we don't have to wait very long. Hope we get some answers.

Nancy canceled on me again. She said we are getting a snow storm tomorrow. I haven't found that. Anyway, the stress test is canceled yet again.Half of it anyway. Still trying for the other half. Waiting on a call back.

My day kinda sucked.
Messed up my computer took hrs. but (and I don't know how) I fixed it. Went to KY then Arbys. I ordered the new Italian get home, take a big bite, Loaded with those hot peppers that start w/ a J but sounds like H? That was the first and I hope last time one of those have been in my mouth. Even after picking them off I needed milk and my eyes may of been watering. I bought the little pizzas @Cynthia12 was talking about hope the sauce wasn't spicy. No worries there because the crust was so hard I couldn't bite it. Dogs enjoyed the sandwich and pizza anyway... Signed,,, Not my day. #going to bed early#Starving in In...

How in the world did you cook the pizza? I just microwave it. Not too long. All microwaves are different. Any microwave will harden foods if cooked too long. If the outside crust is too hard for you, just eat the inside. Austin loves those things. I eat them once in a while. Crust isn't hard for us?

Lucky me. Having a flare up with my vestibular migraines big time. Soo woozy! I went to bed just after 7. Never do I do this unless my vestibular kicks in hard. Makes me sleepy. I shouldn't have complained about not being able to sleep at nights. Kids came up for prayer..where's Nanny? They came into my bedroom to say prayer. Then Austin gave me a blessing. Heard something loud and clear..rest. Trust me, that's all I'm doing. Poor dogs are bored. I finally made it to my t.v. room. Bronwyn came and checked on me. I'm so blessed to have them here.
Hope everyone has a great day. I'm waiting for the better days that I dont take for granted.

How can you do that while asleep?

Taught myself to keep my mouth shut while sleeping. Keeping my nose open so I use that to breathe. Use mouth tape. Lost weight.
