Granny's gone and done it again

Glad to hear that the hen is doing better, @BigBlueHen53.

I lost one of my old girls. Went out to feed and she was belly up under the roost bars. Probably about 8 7 or 8 years old so not surprised. She looked healthy enough. Of good weight, crop full, no signs of prolapse or being egg bound. Probably a sudden death heart attack. Told DH that the way things are headed I'm going to wind up with a flock of roosters before all is said and one.

Colloidal silver is great. Our vet recommends it for wounds when our cattle dogs get banged up. A couple of drops directly on the wound to speed healing. We use it on wounds ourselves. Silver permeated wound dressings were coming into vogue shortly before I stopped working clinical. I agree with @WhatsUpDuck. Look into Colloidal silver.
I've always taken it orally, but my Dad gets bandages from the wound clinic that has it in it as well. I wouldn't hesitate to put it on a wound!

I've read of people whose skin turned silver as a result of ingesting it. Be careful!

I am mistaken, the skin can turn a slate blue. The condition is called argyria and can become permanent.

Yes you are right! Some people take Silver Hydrosol which is usually what causes people to get Argyria. I would not buy it anywhere else other then mountain wellbeing that we have bought from. I do NOT take it every day or extreme amounts. It doesn't take much at all to be helpful! Definitely research it and understand the amounts! I take it in place of antibiotics. It has worked great for me for years. I get it though that people may not want "natural" (I guess that's what you'd call it  ) medicines.

Oh and I forgot to say it should always be in a blue or brown glass bottle. It can not be clear!!

I used to make my own but it's been a while. May still have the kit around here somewhere ....

Oh no I hope his foot gets better!
I take colloidal silver for infection, and I only buy it from here! We have shopped here for 16 years!!

Thanks, I forgot about Toms wound care case that's in the back room. It has a couple different forms of silver in it and some medihoney as well.

Oof, Granny, sorry about Robert's foot. Do his shoes fit good?

He just started w/ this Dr. when she removed part of his toenail. He has an appt thurs. Its a pretty good ride. Close to where I used to go to the pain clinic.

I love my Alexa! All of you naysayers. To each his own. And I don't consider myself lazy. By no means. And, remember, If you all believe that..it..listens..then you with cell phones may want to throw them out. 😅 :plbb
Yep. I can just think of something and it pops up in my feed.

Yeah, Granny, if he's diabetic it's important that his socks and shoes fit good and that his feet get well taken care of. Could he stand to go to a professional and have his nails trimmed every six to eight weeks? I'm calling tomorrow to make an appointment to have mine done ASAP. I can't reach/ see to take care of my toenails any more and I certainly don't want any amputations.
