Granny's gone and done it again

He still has the palliative care Dr. He is past of the cancer institute. He helps allot with pain control. Dh stoma got enlarged so he's having pain because his appliance is ill fitting until his appointment with the ostomy nurse to remeasure him. I told him if it gets unbearable we will go to the ER and the ostomy nurse can see him there. Don't want it to get infected.

Any idea why it is enlarged?

I have trouble with scents. No perfumes, no scented anythings. I do tolerate Febreeze but have to be really careful as perfumed scents will set my allergies off big time. It's one of those things that if people don't have the problem, they don't understand it.

That is just plain silly about the home health care people. They should know better. I never wore perfumes around my patients. My doctor had a sign up in his waiting room that said, 'for the consideration of our patients with asthma, please refrain from wearing perfumes or aftershaves in the office'. @lovesfarms I'm wondering if what you were smelling on their clothes was fabric softeners. some of them like Gain have a really strong scent.to them almost perfume like. Still, like I said, they should know better.

I'm allergic to musk and some of the propellants in spray perfume so I quit wearing it many eons ago. I have to be careful walking down the detergent isle at the grocery store, the strong smells will set me off. Gain soap may smell good but it will cause me to have an asthma attack every time!
Have a blessed Sabbath. see you tomorrow night.
I am quite sensitive to scents too.

It could have been. DH is also super sensitive. I don't use any soaps with fragrance for that reason. I'm sure he's not the only one that complained. I feel sorry for the nurses too because I'm sure they meet allot of irritable patients. It's what chronic pain does to you. So I tried to diffuse the situation even if it meant giving up home care

Chronic pain, Something I have been blessed with for many years now. Its the why me syndrome? Never any relief, ever. I even wake up sometimes moaning or crying. I wonder if this is the reason as you age you no longer fear death?
