Granny's gone and done it again

@Nomadicus and @Granny Hatchet STOP THAT NOW! Okay, seriously, glad to hear that you both are getting medical problems seen to but hate that you both are going through this.

@Nomadicus, the type of surgeries you are having have evolved tremendously. 8 years ago when I had PT for my neck, my therapist, 20 years my junior at least, walked in and it was like she had a board strapped to her head and back. As we talked she told me that she had basically her whole spine fused and was living with a lot of pain. Fast forward, when I started my PT post shoulder surgery last year I asked my therapist what they heard from Amy and how she was doing. He told me that she was doing fantastic. She had retired and seen a new orthopedic specialist who completely redid her spine. She was pain free for the first time in ages and had regained much of her natural movement.

Like...WOW! Was all I could say. You'll do fine.

And @Granny Hatchet, I agree. I'm so glad you had the stress test done. Sorry it was abnormal but glad that they are on the ball and not wasting time trying to help you get things better. You've lived with feeling miserable for so long with nobody wanting to do anything. I'm keeping you both in my prayers.

Sorry for not being around as much. With Pi healing we have been doing some intensive house training. She back slid while she was in the splint for 2 weeks and forgot much of what she learned so the motto for the day is take the pup out, bring the pup in and since she can't do stairs yet, it means carrying her down from the deck and back up the stairs each time. Plus with the nice weather we have been having all she wants to do is go out and sniff the wind and play.... then come in and pee....sigh. Plus she is a particularly stubborn 'brat' phase where she thinks her middle name is NO! but this too shall pass, lol.

Take care everyone.

Well you knew it was abnormal right? Do they have your history or ?
Wonder what they will tell you?
They have some of it. Not sure how much. The lady that called couldn't really tell me except for more testing. The thing is, the test is stupid. I forget the name of it. They will cath me in Dearborn hospital but if I need a stent they transport to city hospital with the cath still in place. They did it to mom.
Granny do you have your results from last time do you can compare it?
No
Just home from the neurosurgeon. Neck surgery first as soon as possible. Good thing I didn't put it off any longer. Already have two vertebrae fused together in my neck. Lower back later. Spinal cord being crushed in places. The the pathway is going to be opened up. The doc put the MRI disk I had from last year in and showed us the fused vertebrae as well as where the spinal cord was being pinched. After that I got an updated MRI today and will see him again Tuesday to schedule neck surgery.

We cook carrots, broccoli, zucchini every week. :thumbsup Beets too.:)
It sounds scary to me Larry. what do they do? If they take the 2 apart isn't that basically the same as having a broken neck?

carrying her down from the deck and back up the stairs each time.
BE CAREFUL, Chick! She's getting to be quite a chunk and you with your bad arm ... we don't want to hear that she wiggled and you went down the stairs on your kiester!

I'm SO in favor of crate training! So much easier and faster - and SAFER!

I don't think so, Granny, I think it will be like restoring it to a healthy neck. Vertebrae are not supposed to be fused together. They are supposed to be separated by a cushion of cartilege so you are not in pain.

I am glad you have some answers.

What @BigBlueHen53 said. What would be stupid is not having the test and keeling over from a widow maker heart attack.

Don't worry,@BigBlueHen53. My kiester may be bony but I still bounce pretty good! :lau Plus what is cute is she knows she isn't supposed to go down the stairs so she stops and half jumps into my arms when I bend over and holds still going up and down the stairs. Only three stairs so we both take it slow.

Any word when you get your new set of wheels? You would probably be eligible for one of those mobility scooters.
