I use Voltaren and I think it depends on where you use it. It works very well on my shoulders and my biceps where it was repaired. DH uses it on his knees when they are bothering him along with his lower back. Not much luck with my hips when they hurt but I think it does very well with bony promenences.

It comes in pill form as well.

Morning all That was the earliest I've went to bed in a very long time. Of course it didn't help I was up before the sun. Urine look like pure blood now and very painful. I hope I get my meds today.

@Nomadicus Do you have a day for surgery yet? Do you need a heart dr. ok first?

My hubby has severe kidney problems (consistent kidney stones/infection) and he has seen his urine do that. It is scray! I only did that when I went into labor with our youngest. They thought I was having a kidney stone or something like that, and I was actually VERY dehydrated! I had gotten very sick before I went into labor. I guess that is what caused me to do that. I drank a lot of water daily when I was pregnant. Hubby got through it by praying.

If you have a rheumatologist or orthopedic doc they can formulate Volataren through a compounding pharmacy. Medicare part D may pay for that but not sure.

Morning all. Took Pi on her first woods walk. She is set to come off of restricted activity so we thought we would give her a bit of lee. DH who was handling the leash came back exhausted. Pi wanted to keep up with Spot and Buck who were ahead of her. Funny thing is that we have her so conditioned not to go up or down stairs that she WON'T go up or down stairs now. She stops and looks up at us.Lifts a front leg so we can pick her up and trundle her down. Wonder how long it's going ot take her to get over that habit?

Oh, @Granny Hatchet, I could literally cry for you. I know how bad you are feeling and hurting right now. We women are so blessed to be prone to UTIs....not. Hang in there. Know we are all keeping you in our prayers. You and @BigBlueHen53 along with @Nomadicus are heading up the wounded and weary list.

Yesterday I spent some time outdoors, raking up flower beds and digging up some iris that I want to transplant. Trying to eliminate beds that take a lot of weeding in a quest to cut back on my 'back work' over the summer. Held my breath last night not knowing how my shoulder would react. So I used one of DH's RX lidocaine patches and slept like a baby. Some soreness this morning. I'm about to replace the patch but hey, soreness I can deal with. It's not sleeping that ruins my day.

It was 74 here yesterday so it's easy to get the spring bug going.

All I have to do now is find places to plant all the irises I dug up! I'm going to try to do container plantings on what flowers I'm going to plant. Even my dwarf cannas.

Yes, three kids. They depend on him a lot. Two of his grandkids have a mother who is a druggie. So while the kids Dad works, the grandparents look after the kids. It's a sad situation.

I feel so bad for those kids, and that man. They are all going to struggle and miss him. Is he still unconscious?
