Granny's gone and done it again

Hey, SD, how goes the packing?
I’ve been at the Clubhouse today so I haven’t really packed much more except put a few pants in the donate bag this morning lol and I plan on packing more when I go home.

He did, we had talked about getting a dog now that we had room, but hubby had never had a dog before (or any animal aside from a beta) and was putting it off, possibly forever lol. We were looking at Australian shepherds, or a husky, but we're worried they would be too high strung and herding instinct for the kids. Then a dog whose breed i had never heard of was dropped off, and was perfect. The poor thing was terrified and starving at first, but it only took a little kindness and she was ready to make this her home. ❤️ we say that God knew what dog we needed far better than we did.
I saw the picture of her. She almost looks like a red Mountain Cur but I love her face no matter what she is.

That's what I said when Pi showed up at our front gate crying her little heart out. God knows what He's doing and He decided we needed a 7th dog and she needed us. If there is room in your heart there is room in your house.

Alright, I need help. I have to DIY an incubator. The one we have been using we have for exactly as much time as it takes 1 batch to hatch, then we have to return it. But I have 8 eggs rescued from a nest a young broody abandoned. I put them in the incubator until today, locksown day. I have been trying to figure out a good incubator DIY, but the one thing I could think of isn't working too well. They are currently in a fluffy hat inside an electric blanket inside a Coleman cooler 😅 i cant seem to get the temp above 90, not that electric blanket was a great idea anyway.

I have a heat lamp, but will need it for the incubator chicks soon. I cant cut up the cooler, its not mine. I dont have a plug in light socket. I have an abundance of cardboard.. I have a spare ceiling light socket I could theoretically wire to an old charger or something, but im not sure on the power requiments vs the charger abilities. Although, I only have LED lights on hand anyway I think.
I agree with Blue. Styrofoam cooler. I've heard of a lot of people using just plain coolers and the most off the wall one was made using a small refrigerator. You know the little 2X2 foot jobs people get for their apartments or guys get to hold their beer in the shop.

Yes, I was thinking about that, but I have no way to heat it? Do you mean to also get one of those plug in bulb sockets and a 100watt?

which mean's my brother probably "dropped them off for him". Brett was a B52 pilot. Stationed out of Diego Garcia during the first gulf conflict. Their fighter plane escort had to turn around about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way to the targets or they would not have enough fuel to get back to back.
My cousin was in Las Vegas. What ever base that is called.

Our girl was eating a mole from our compost pit, the kids started shouting there was a fox in our compost lol.
When we came out she hung her head and tucked her tail and tried to scurry away, but we called gently to her and brought her some food and let her sleep in the garage for the night (it was January). Within 2 days hubby who "doesnt like dogs" and is notoriously penny pinching (for reason, kids are expensive) had fallen in love, named her, baught her a personalized collar, and gotten a vet appointment and all other dog related paraphernalia lol. 🤣
