Carolina dog is considered a "super mutt" (and will come back that way on most DNA tests also) meaning you can often see aspects of almost every breed in them lol especially the landrace medium dogs. Granted, we have no DNA test, and I would be very surprised if she came back 100% carolina, she was dumped after all. But every single personality, behavioral and body detail matches, so as far as I'm concerned thats what she is lol. She has 0 herding instinct, and is almost entirely silent, we didnt hear her make a sound until 4 months in, and then it was a single playful yelp to get us to play with her. She has only barked once... in a year and a half! That was when coyotes were in the yard. She stood on the porch and let out a single very large dog sounding bark, and they were gone! She runs about 2x faster than Any of the hunting dogs around here, and can do double backflips. She picks up commands ridiculously easy with positive reinforcement, im talking like 2-3 times max and she has it. Was leash trained and train to sit and heel, and learned to not take food from babies within 2 weeks, and I could only spend maybe 10 mins a day with her, the rest of the time was just with kids playing. (And she definitely had no clue in the begining) She also loves to dig very small holes just the size of her nose and smell.

these are odd to extraordinary for most breeds, but expected for carolina, so when I found the descriptions telling me what I had already noticed about her I was sold. Im sure she isn't pure bread, but I dont plan to breed her or take her to shows.
