Granny's gone and done it again

I understand, Cap. Do what you need to do. You don't need to justify yourself to anybody. I'm sure you know how to lose weight! As I do! But what do you do if none of that works? If your body just stubbornly refuses to drop a pound in spite of your best efforts? If you have, for example, a metabolic disorder that means your body just does not process food and calories like a normal, healthy person? Don't let anybody judge you. Take care of yourself the best way you can. :hugs And be the beautiful person you know you are!
Thanks Blue. I had lost about 20 pounds, but it slowly crept back. I am just going to try and lose it again. Luckily, the season for fresh veggies is coming up. Plan is to start digging up ground for a veggie garden at the new house.

I heard a report once upon a time that said that the one bad thing with liposuction is that you could get rid of the 'extra' fat cells but remaining would just take over.

My doctor's practice offers a procdedure called 'fat sculpting' where they freeze fat cells destroying them. Might be some thing for you to check into.

Years ago a nurse I was working with wanted to lose about 40 pounds so she asked me if I would go to weight watchers with her. I wanted to lose about 10 at the time so I said sure. It was really a great learning experience. They taught me how to eat healthy and how to watch my serving sizes which is the basis of everything. Do I recommend them? Yeppers.
I read about that freezing process. All I could think about was frostbite and gangrene. I would rather just have it cut off. I don't care about scars, I already have loads of them.

Walking is great, if you can do it. Unfortunately, I get so out of breath that I have to stop and bend over. Plus it is quite hilly in our new neighborhood. :(
You're still ahead of me, Cap! :lau I am not supposed to be walking at all! But today ... well, my GC is supposed to be cleaning the hen house. Today I realized she hadn't done it since last Friday. So I just got up on my walker and hauled my happy butt out there and did it myself.

Well, mostly. The poop trays and roosts extend along three walls. I got two walls done. DH found me out there shortly after I got started and I shooed hm back in the house. I got this, I told him. Well by the end of the second wall I texted him. I cry Uncle, I said. I don't got this. (It was 80° out!) So he came and rescued me. Brought the wheelchair so I could sit while he finished the job. I used the walker to get back in the house. Took a while to cool off. I prob'ly shouldn't have done that. But dammit, it needed done.

So today I breached the topic of " never cleaning" as soon as we got to the log cabin. He said the windows look great. I said, not possible, I don't clean anything! Then he replied, that doesn't count because we don't live here. I hadn't vacuumed or swept the floor in the house in 2 months. Well, I spent a month packing and another month moving. I told him I have limited energy, so he said, You always have energy to go to ceramics. So twice a week for a couple of hours, I go sit on a chair at a table and make ceramics and talk to friends. Doesn't take much energy, and keeps me sane.

Schrek, maybe you can plan to do something special this year for your bday..
Well, my dad and stepmom and I are going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner like we did a few years ago and I think might have last year? IDK. LOL but yeah. I know we didn’t in 2024 but yeah. Anyways, I LOVE that place and they always send me a free gift (appetizer or “sidekick” AKA a side) for my birthday cause I’m in their club so we like going LOL you do have to buy an adult entree but we are doing that anyway so it’s not a huge deal LOL and then we are going to my brother’s for Easter and I think they are combining my birthday with Easter but my dad thought we should still do something separate and I agree so yeah.

And ... when exactly does HE clean? Somebody needs his chauvinistic butt handed to him. Maybe you should be too busy cleaning to cook for him. Or too exhausted from cleaning to attend to any other "wifely duties." :tongue
