hard to keep too many roos and even harder to figure out which one to keep ! I think the duck wing phoenix MIGHT of been my favorite .

oh boy do I know ! there running special on top hats this week. LOL I dont have a way to order and dont know how to either. LOL

X2. Although I did think about maybe getting some banties this year. :hide It's been a lifelong dream to buy chicks at a feed store.

Get some! :D Bantams (especially OEGB) are the greatest lil chickens ever, IMHO. Such awesome personalities.
If you get them as adults it takes a while for them to warm up and get used to you, but after that- they are so tame, provided you handle them plenty, of course. I could go on, and on, and on- Only thing is the roos are really full of themselves, but I have only met 3. :love

I'm getting polish and silkies from a breeder, and probably a handful of standard NNs, for the camp program. We'll sell most or all of them at the end of the summer.

Speaking of summer: I'm thinking of setting eggs each week so that I can go into lockdown on Mondays and hatch mid-week. If I put a big viewing window on the front of the cooler hatcher, the kids can have up close experiences. If I only have 5-6 at a time my numbers shouldn't get too crazy... :hide

So you wont have time to let the polish breed ? I have tried for a while to find polish breeders local . No luck. One wishing found for me is a no. everything is eggs and bacon here.

Here's one of my little bantam boys from a few months back, only slightly bigger and with alot more color now

Not this year. DH wants to focus on the honas. I eased him into the idea of the hona/EE project. And I mentioned a person with a solid white polish. He thinks solid black would be neat. So he's talked of putting our gold laced polish in with the honas. She's 11 months and no egg. :/
