not up here. It's the bone meat that's to big of a PITA to trim for sausage other parts that aren't good for much else. Also you prepare it like corned beef. I will boil it with more pickling spice skim the water and when almost done drain and boil in fresh water and spices.

thats odd. Never heard of it. sounds like a lot of work to me. Mcdonalds bacon burger sounds much easier to do.
 
could be just what the german,Russian, ukariane people up here call it. I had never heard it called salt pork until I moved here. To us saltpork was mainly very very fatty pork belly you would FRY either naked or breaded.
