yes he could lower pixels but not sure on quality good nuff till he gets a card. Alot of cameras need that card and dont hold many pics at all. Both of mine are like that

X2. I have a 1 GB card that holds 500 ish pics, 2000 x 3000 pixel, and I love it! Makes long photography sessions so much easier.
