Thank for the recipe Twist, I just emailed it to myself. I will have to try this at the end of March

BREAD PUDDING RECIPE

12 slices or a few more old bread cubed spread in 9 x 13 pan

1 quart or milk or cream or mixture there of

9 lg or ex lg eggs or lots of peewees or mediums

1 tBL spoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups sugar (I use 2 )

beat/mix together milk,eggs,sugar, vanilla pour over cubed bread

sprinkle the top with 1/4 to 1/2 cups of cinnamon sugar )sort of forms a crust)

bake at 350 for 40 min to 1 hour

OPTIONS

1 cup dried fruit (may reconstitute in hot-boiling if you want) and 1 cup nuts your choice

fresh peeled and diced apples is good also

excellent combinations craisins and pecans, apples and walnuts I have done one with mandarine oranges, coconut, banana , and almonds or macadamia nuts.

doing pretty good and just read in the Lenten handbook our church put out that Sunday's are not considered part of the Lenten observance but instead all Sunday's are mini-Easter's and to go ahead and indulge.

Of course in my book that just makes Monday's soo much tuffer but what the hay.

did you give something up besides cutting down on your smokes ?

You are all welcome for the recipe. My sister-in-law got it from a lady that works at the Little America resorts. There is one in Cheyenne. You can add more eggs if you so wish just makes it more custardier.

He was telling me that because I have given up sweets until Easter Sunday and he had read in his Lenten handbook that Sundays not necessarily included in the Lenten observance.
