I seem to have come to terms with my life and am content/happy for the most part.

There are a couple things that I would love to do BUT am accepting gradually that they will never happen, biggest is holding a child of my own in my arms. Not having my Sib's live closer BUT other then that I have done most of what I want. I have my health, a loving extended family, GREAT friends, my Dogs, yaks, chickens, a money pit of a hobby farm, the motel, and my faith.

LIFE IS GOOD everything else is just bumps and potholes on the road of life. Granted some of the potholes are FARKING HUGE and will swallow you up for a time but for me that just even more reason to enjoy the smooth part of the road on I crawl out

this makes me sad and it shouldnt. How many men throw their children away . The days not over yet Scott.

It's just job stuff. I've been promised an underwriting position for 2 years now and when I pushed it, my boss promised that I could start. Now he is reneging on it. I'm too valuable in my current position to leave a vacancy there. No raises, If I'm so important shouldn't they pay me for the work that I do? No raise in 2 years. So do I leave a very nice work environment to advance my career? I am on the cusp of advancement. My boss wants to take me in a whole different direction to suit his agenda. I just don't know. Leave safety, or get a new job?

tippy that's a lot on you right now. Its your call. I was in the same position my last job. I put my notice in and immediately got called to the owners office. I thought, oh Lord he's fixing to fire me now. To my surprise he told me to shut the door and sit because I wasn't going nowhere. He gave me more then the other job offered. Maybe look and find another job and put in your notice if you're comfortable with that.

can you afford to leave you current position ??   Maybe if you turn in your notice or go over the bosses head  you might get the results you were promised, but could end up in a hostile work situation. ???   On the other hand  with miss know-it-all  at your current place it doesn't sould like your very happy where you currently are.

Personally I would start looking for another job while holding down your currently one,

Twist you've really opened up in this post. Never give up on having a child. We were in church this very morning and were discussing how Sarah had faith and had a baby when she was 90 years old. You have God ,love and faith. That's all you need in this short life. And grannys right. Lots of people just throw away their kids. And a father doesn't have to be blood. Any if it can make a baby but it takes a real man to be a father blood or not. Hats off to you brother. You're a great man.

Now please don't tease me about the hug lol. I know we cut up a lot but I can tell you're a wonderful, giving person.

I got bumped off a little while ago, a message then popped up saying the site was being updated and would be back shortly. Maybe some bugs they are trying to fix
