Granny, I'm just learning and still have to get over to the illness and disease posts, to figure out what poop butt is. But i have so much fun reading all of this thread, and as long as it takes me to read all the new posts and catch up, I never seem to have enough time! But I'm learning a lot!

Everything I've read says it's from chicks getting too cold. (sometimes they say it's from too hot!) Must put stress on their systems and mess them up for awhile. I think probiotics would be better than ACV.

We even had a problem with one chick that hatched out under a broody. This child wanted the Seramas, so he was in charge of butt cleaning! (2 yrs ago)

Soo, I remember my sister looking "down yonder" and squealing "I got a grey" . hahahaa Then I thought hmm. so I went to take a look and it was bald !! Not so funny anymore.

I must of skipped a step somewhere.

The one baby will be born tomorrow. Right Camping?!? lol

My chicks are too cute.....we watched them ALL day yesterday and of course I'm right back at it today.
My 6 yr old is in love with one of the EE and she loves sleeping in his neck. So sweet! I officially have a chicken boy now too!

Poopie butt is not Granny's butt(today)....she is now talking about the chick's butt.

Linda ignore that boy's text messages! lol

its just what it sounds. They keep getting poop built up on their bums. it can kill them if not removed.
