LOOK! I finally got a pic of the chick! Her name is Nike (Greek Goddess of Victory, since she is the only one to make it.)

No clue what she is though, other than a big chicken breed.

I have a son name Vincent. It means to conquer!!!!

Phew. Went to clean out the coop and run but some girls occupying the nesting boxes means it was just the run and the raptor paddock that got attention. Sigh. Maybe do the coop clean later this evening. It's going to be a hot one.

She's cute! You'll probably have to wait until she's grown to figure out the breed, and even then it can be tricky. Was she from a hatchery?

Afternoon everyone. At orthodontist with DD. She is getting 1st stage of braces off. She has had problems with top front teeth. The baby teeth never fell out and adult teeth just grew behind baby teeth. Wound up with one front tooth pointing forward and one pointing to back of mouth. Had a hard time biting things. They called it a cross bite. She'll be getting a retainer then in 2-3 years she'll start phase 2 of the braces.

Granny, did you ever get your son to take a bath in your bathroom?

Doing alright. Ambulatory, so that's always a bonus. I need to get outside and do all the stuff I have put off all week. Must take advantage of the opportunity to be outside hatless!
