Pheasants are beautiful. Quail are good egg layers and easy to process, good to eat.

Depends on how much work you want to do.

dont think I want eating and quail could slip through dog kennel. Thinking more exotic or ? and yes, easy. Wish I could get my hands on a breeding pair of Big birds. IE: cockatoo , I have forgotten the name of the red and blue ones. Pheasant maybe , mini goat ?

I was looking at pics. Are they wasps or hornets? Wasps have those really thin waspy waists. Hornets more like a honey bee shape.

I dont remember wishing. Can you find the one on here from last time ?
I used to raise birds, Loved it. although I didnt have the more expensive ones. I hand fed the cockatiels and lovebirds. the finches and parakeets I didnt. They absolutly cn take the cold . You just need to introduce them in spring and let them go through the sason by themselves. they will molt just like a wild bird into a winter hardy bird. They say you cant keep seramas below 40 too but I do and they were fine. I lost one that was a frazzle.

Seems like everywhere I live, people have the big parrots and cockatoos. The birds act like big babies, and the owners spend more time complaining about them than enjoying them. And I can always hear the the birds screaming. Cockatoo people next door moved away, but the macaw a couple houses down still raises cain. Maybe is says more about bad owners than the birds themselves. I'd rather have a nice quiet tortoise!

last time I seen any for sale they were $2500.00 . takes them forever to raise them though compaired to the smaller birds. I dont know what I want. Maybe it dont even have to be animal..
