My best possible conclusion is he is under the deck but because he is the small tortoise he could have gotten under the fence

Maggots? I've never ever had maggots in my bedding. Sure they weren't black soldier fly larvae?

Hummmm they might have been them but it freaked me completely out and I dumped all the bedding out. Am I right that they are good to have?

Here's a piece of good news for my techie friends. My lg3 went to the blue screen of death. I baked the mother board for 9 minutes in a 325 degree oven on an disposable aluminum pan. Put it back together and its working like a charm so far!;

Just gotta make sure you don't get fly strike in any open wounds. I don't think it hurts the birds to eat them.
