Graphic: bloody chick hatching...... Normal? First incubating experience...

Awwww, so pleased for you! Is she looking healthy and vigorous? If she had a tricky hatch, she may be weaker so some Nutridrench would be very beneficial and when she starts eating, a little scrambled egg too.

So, I helped one that seemed like the shell was stuck to its bottom...was obviously still doing it's thing, as it has its intestines hrrniating out belly button, lost some blood, now in water channels in tray...I pushed the herniated organs back into belly button, but they wouldn't stay, so I tied belly button closed with dental floss. She is super week. Just laying there mostly.
Question #1 I have 19 other pipped wiggling and chirping eggs, is the blood going to cause harmful bacteria?
Question #2 Did I do the right thing?(obviously, I realize I should not have assisted the hatch) as far as the tying the belly button, and putting her back into incubator.
