My sister is over helping build a new shed/coop so we are taking shifts, someone builds while the other sits and watches duckling. Mama isn’t putting duckling under her, but it’s 100 degrees outside right now so that may be why she’s not. She likes baby a lot but it’s her first time seeing a duckling so I’m keeping a VERY close eye.
Yes. The reason for the other thermometer is to check and make sure the incubator is reading right.
Which method did you use to calibrate it?
The incubator is reading the same as the extra thermometer. Everything says it’s right, I’m doing the same thing as my other hatches and they hatched fine, these aren’t.
I did both boiling water and ice water method to check.

She has! I thought mom just wasn’t putting baby under, but baby doesn’t want under. Baby wants under wing so it can watch the world. It’s so cute!!
