Life, is a Learning curve.
I used telpha non stick to cover the wound and secured it with self stick wrapping. I will get up every 4 hours to hydrate her. She walked over to eat but, did not. I put her chick feed in plain yogurt to soften it and put some on her beak. I just added more Triple antibiotic and coconut oil which melts and keeps it moistened. I had to move her gf to her secure outside coop for the night. She kept bugging her. I think she needs total rest esp. For tonight. I hope thats ok?Yes, I think it would help her if you could get up at least once to keep her hydrated.
And you might want to use compresses for burns so they will not stick to the wound.
I did trim her head feathers short to keep some weight off from pulling too much and I trimmed all around her eyes to help her see.
I handle all the girls a lot, so this little White Crested is at least use to me holding her and talking sweet to her and rubbing on her. My three EE do not like it but, I make sure to exam the big girls at least once a day.
I hope I'm doing the right thing. But, with all the advice so far, I think Im on the right track. Thank you.
I appreciate all the insight.
