Boy or Girl? I thought it is a roo however I couldn't locate his teste. I have done more than 10 birds now I should be able to find testes if they are there? What you guys thinking?

I'm 99% sure that a pullet. Not a single hackle or sickle feather. You got luckier than me, I cut into one I was unsure about gender and killed her :-(

That stance and comb look male, but those thin dainty legs say girl.

Don't know exactly how old, but another roo came with it had kidney bean sized testes; and another one has huge one that I can barely get it out of the incision.

Well.... I have another two black polish and one white silkie, cut one polish and the silkie open, same story, I will post some pictures later. What are chances that I got 3 maybe 4 pouletes from same lady.......?

The dark testes can be tricky, especially if you are looking for the "yellow bean"

I have done silkies, (remember the one murdered by my dog? ) and I found them when they are rice size so I know what color are they.

Well you may have won the chicken lottery, unless you were specifically wanting to practice! lol All of those breeds are notoriously hard to gender guess w/o lots of practice w/ them.

How do you do it? What do you use to get a testicle out that big? I'm bound and determined to get good at doing adults. I've been figuring out different things I could use for a "snare" to get around the testicle safely without puncturing it or the artery. It's literally like trying to get ahold of an egg yolk :/ So I'm always interested in how others manage it.
(I've only done an adult Serama awhile back, but I killed him also).

After I separated the teste, I used a dentist hook to puncture it and pull it out.

My hens pen is full now, and I text the lady I got them from she said they had a dog attack today lost bunch of free ranged ones so her pen is full too. I guess I will hold them as long as possible.
