Great DIY candler

I saw this in a video and thought it was a great idea. It works very well. You can use a flashlight that you already have but don't have to cup your hand over it to see in the egg.

Cut the bottom out of a medicine cup and tape it to your flashlight with black electrical tape. I had a medicine cup and a partial roll of electrical tape so it didn't cost anything extra.

The small end out works better for chicken eggs. If you put some of the tape over the top it covers your rough uneaven edges where you cut.
