My mum suprised me today with 3 more pekin ducklings i put them with the indian runners and they are 2 week old btw my grandpa told me he will get me 10 baby chicks on friday sooo idk

That's awesome although I don't suggest you put older ducklings with you get chicks or the other way around. What is their brooder like, also any idea on what types of chickens your getting or what age they are, because I can help you try to get a higher chance of getting hens.

Ok if you want hens look for ones with the little to no waddle growth and tiny yellow combs, if they have big red combs and waddles then they are probably males.

You and grandpa may need to build a bigger area for your duckling they are going to get big fast. I agree on not putting chickens and ducks in a small area together. My chickens and ducks share the same coop but it’s very large and the chicken roost up high the ducks on the floor. Ducks are super messy too which chicken won’t like.

They are adorable! Be sure to give them a bucket or deep bowl they can’t knock over so they can dunk their heads to keep their eyes and nares cleaned out. Nice place for them.
