Jersey cows are beautiful and really neat animals. Every Jersey bull that I have known has been a terror - reminiscent of Spanish fighting bulls. Must be the 'littleman' syndrome.

I've always wanted my own "Elsie". Although a swiss has higher butterfat content I think I'd still get a Jersey.

We thought about getting one a couple of years ago. Even had someone offer to sell us one - but (a) I have too many animals already and (b) we haven"t got enough cleared land to support another grazer. If I did get a cow, I'd prefer to get an old-style Jersey (some call them "miniature Jerseys") though they are often pretty pricey.
