Afternoon, folks.

Maybe I'll mosey on over here with the rest of you. We seem to have ditched the hijack thread for this one. Oh well, we all know that GREEN must be defended.

Hey, doodle, how's minidoodle doing? Hope she's feeling better, fevers like that are scary!

Great that you heard from your son, and that's good news that he's settling in so well. I remember a letter we got from my brother when he was in Basic. He said, "I can't take it, I'm going to go AWOL" then he said, "What am I saying? I know perfectly well I won't." When I read that, I was so shocked I nearly dropped the letter. I told my mother, "I don't believe it. He took it back! He made an irrational statement and he didn't defend it to the death, he took it back! There's hope for him yet!" I'm thinking your boy should do a lot better than my brother did, he sounds much more sensible.

Mini is doing better. No fever since yesterday morning. Just a really bad cough. Sore throat is gone too.

As for Alex, my son, I haven't heard from him again. I know he can't call or anything for a while. His wife is having a really hard time coping with him not being there. They haven't been apart since they got married. They've been married 2 years now. I've told her I'd help her if she needed it, all she has to do is ask, but she's stubborn.

I'm going to work all the overtime I can so we can go down for Family Day and Graduation Day. I'm so proud of him I could bust. He has really turned out to be a responsible young man. When he said he didn't want to be ANYTHING like his father, he really meant it. He is nothing like him. Alex hasn't spoken to his father in 2 years. Lot of history there and I don't blame him. Dakota doesn't even want to stay with their dad. She will only visit him if I stay there and even then she only wants to stay for an hour or less. lol You do reap what you sow. Anyway! We are doing better, finally!!!! Thanks.

Sour, Sour, Sour.....are you STILL trying to get people to believe you actually WANT them to join you on a picnic? Now you know you are only asking so you can feed them to the moat dwellers.... Eenie don't do it!!!!

I posted too soon. Got home from work and found out Mini is back to running a fever. No school today. It's up to almost 103 now. Doc said if it got to 103.5 to take her to the ER. For some reason they are not seeing walk-in's today. Poor baby! She's miserable!! And that makes me sad cause I can't do anything to make it go away..

I was wondering why I didn't meet my dad while I was on my way home. We normally pass each other on the road..him heading to Dakota's bus stop and me heading to the house to go to bed. I found out why. Anyway, I'm off. Gonna go lay down with her for a little bit and try to get a bit of sleep. Night y'all!

G'night, Doodle. That is so NOT what I was hoping to hear about Mini. Praying that it's just a little relapse, and not something else going on (my kids are both bad about relapsing. "Just when you thought it was safe . . ." I wind up keeping them home for much longer than I want to, when they get sick.) Hope you both get some much needed, healing rest!
