We have 5 easter eggers and got our first GREEN egg today. I was so excited because two of them are only laying brown eggs. Can't wait to see what color the other ones lay.
I confess, when you talk EE I have NO idea what that is. We keep Araucanas and cross-breed Araucanas in our mixed layer flock. The former lay pure blue eggs. Without a doubt the most beautiful eggs we get. The latter lay generally green or brown eggs. You should definitely try to get some purebreds in the equation. But then maybe your EE lay blue eggs. Like I said I am not familiar.
Congrats on the egg. Those first colored ones came a long time ago but I remember it was egg-citing.
I have four EEs - 3 of them lay green eggs and the fourth lays a light cream-colored egg. I have other hens that lays white and others that lay brown eggs. The variety of colors look so pretty in the egg cartons!
Congratulations on the green egg! So far three of mine are laying and they seem to be more cream colored. It's very disappointing! Hopefully, we'll see something with some color out of one of the five!
