green eggs

We have 2 rock hens and 6 red hens we are getting a gene egg why? Also the membrane in the eggs are making cracking them hard when cooking. Does anyone have and answer to these two questions?

Do you know which hen? At some point they must have been crossed with an Easter Egger in their lineage.

That would make since it has to be one of my reds because we got them as eggs from a friend who has different breeds and we hatched them in an incubator some of the reds do not look pure thanks
