Evander nodded and headed toward where maggie and the boy were.

He handed Randy the lead, looking greedily at the money. Little did he know, it wasn't even close to half of what the stallion was worth.

The stallion watched all of this with an amused expression, wondering why humans valued slips of cloth so much.

Maggie awoke and nuzzled the boy. He appered to be asleep.

"What?!" the mare shrieked, shaking her head to clear it of the dizziness that the overdose of sleeping serum had brought. "Who in the world does stuff like that?" She bursted out in a stream of curses that probably had her mother flinching in her grave.
