i found someone, a plant lover friend , she is gonna meet me at my house at 11:30 so we can cover the plants

I think they're good, you'll lose some leaves but the overall plants should be fine.

i think the petunia died but i trimmed it back and hope it come back in the spring

Probably will, they are really tough plants. If the plants were well watered before the exposure, the roots should be okay.
We have tons of them growing around the koi pond, they've been frozen to the ground several times (polar vortex 2021 was a big time plant killer) but every spring they're back!
