Honestly, I thought Reddie, an ISA Brown, would be first to lay from that group. She has been throwing herself into drop-and-squat at my feet for several days now!
I love the names, lol. I actually thought about the book called Ping that my mom read to me and I then read to my kids.27 weeks.
She and Pong were supposed to be a matched set, so to speak (which explains the goofy names LoL). "uh, toss in a couple of Australorps too I guess" when I had to make an emergency chick purchase at tsc.
About 6-7 weeks I noticed their feet were noticably no longer the same coloring, okay what the hay, closer inspection on feet and little combs, a bit of research, someone is not who they claim to be!
Pong is an Australorp but Ping is a Jersey Giant
Oddly enough, Pong is still the bigger one, keep waiting for that to change!
My cochin is turning red n the face and getting some wattles and comb growth. She's almost 15 weeks though so still early.
